Step 2: Go to www.txdmv.gov/elinc to sign up for the registration. Once your application has been received, you will get an email with further instructions. Ensure that your application doesn’t contain any misstatement, misrepresentation, or omission of the required information. This may stall your application for further review.

Step 3: On the approval of your application, you will receive an email with a UIN (Unique Identification Number). This number needs to be given to your insurance company to file your insurance online.

Step 4: Once your insurance company files the requisite insurance, you will receive another email. Follow the instructions in this email to log in to MCCS (Motor Carrier Credentialing System) and pay the requisite fee amount and complete the application process.

Step 5: Once you pay the fee, the MCCS will convert your UIN Number into your TxDMV Certificate Number.

Step 6: The initial applications take around 24-48 business hours to close. If you have a previous certificate or have been linked in any way with another authority or certificate, your application review may take additional 7 business days.

Step 7: Once all the final formalities of fee payment and application process have been done and your TxDMV Number has been obtained, you may proceed with the printing of your insurance Cab Card and Certificate.
